A brief resume of ' Academy of Liberal & Advanced Professional Arts Nurture' ( ALAPAN) for the year 2011-12 is given below :
1. Annual Function:
We arranged a cultural function at Subarna Jayanti Bhaban, Sutahata. There were Recitation, Song Drama, Dance-Drama, Mime, Chorus Song,Chorus Recitation etc. in Bengali, Hindi & English. Members, Students & Faculties took participation in this programme. Prizes & Felicitations were given to students & eminent personality respectively.
2. One Day Motivational English & Hindi Orientation Programme :
We organized One Day Motivational English & Hindi Orientation Programme in more than 12 High Schools and Colleges to encourage the rural students to speak English and Hindi easily for their aspiring better future to cope with this challenging and competitive world.
3. Blood Donation Camp :
This year we arranged a Blood Donation Camp in our Organization Campus in collaboration with Voluntary Blood Donors Association. Fifty two males &females donated their blood in this camp. The members of the organization collected the expenditures from the members and well- wishers for the said camp.
4. Free Medical Camp :
We know that there are many poor people in our locality who have been suffering from various types of diseases. For this reason we arranged a free medical camp in our premise. There famous Doctors checked up near about 160( one hundred sixty ) patients. All the medicines were distributed free of cost.
5. Help To Poor Students :
In our locality there are lots of poor students who are unable to buy their books & other accessories. Therefore, we gave different types of text books and scientific apparatus. All the expenditures were collected by our Members.
6. Literacy Camp :
Some Literacy Camps were arranged in different areas of our locality for the downtrodden & destitute children, men and women. Our members voluntarily literate them along with some child- labours.
7. Pollution Awareness Programme :
Our organization arranged awareness Programmers on Pollution Control in different areas & sectors. This is why, we invited some eminent persons having profound knowledge on Environment. They explained all the bad effects of pollution and taught how to control it
8. Observation of Republic Day:
We observed the Republic Day on 26th January. We arranged a little cultural function, in order to recollect the day. The members, students and Freedom Fighters participated in this programme.
9. National Summer Camp :
We arranged 7 Day Residential National Summer Camp with 105 school & college students ( Class IX onward) from different ends of India on English & Hindi Language teaching along with Character Building and Personality Development Programme. Eminent Language Experts and Faculties taught the students and Seminars were presented by dignified Resources of Industry and Educational Institutes. All the campers participated in different activities relating to Role Play, Body Language, Debates, Group Discussions etc. The camp was ended with a colourful programme.
10. ALAPAN Student Scholarship:
10 poor but meritorious students of different High Schools have been awarded scholar ships @ Rs.2000/- each in the last financial year.
11. Training on Performing Arts :
We arranged some short time Trainings & Workshops on Mime & Body Language, Recitation, Song, Anchoring and Drama in different institutions & organizations as well as in our own organization.
12. Beauty Culture & Health Care Course:
In collaboration with Jan Sikshan Sanshthan, Haldia we arranged a 6 months ( September,11-February,’12) Beauty Culture & Health Care Diploma Course with 15 rural women in our organization.
13. Vocational Training:
To motivate mostly village youths we organized an 8 day non residential workshop on mobile repairing by the help of a group of volunteer technicians.
14. Co-ordination :
It is known to all that without Co-ordination and Co-operation, any organization or society can't prosper. For this reason our organization is always ready to develop more Co-ordination among the inhabitants and other organization. Sweet relations were also developed with Government and some other non Government organizations.
